The solution to this trick is extremely simple. When I learned the solution to this trick I felt kind of dumb for not thinking of this.
After you have chosen your card you feel that it has taken away the card you picked (feeling like it was actually reading your mind) but notice it gives you a different set of cards. There was no way that your card would have been there no matter which card you chose! It looked like the same set of cards but it really wasn’t and you probably was not thinking about that. So now the next time someone asks you to do this you won’t feel like it is reading your mind (which would make you feel like you are going crazy!).
