Prayer

How often do you pray?  That is a question we all need ask ourselves.  It is a very important thing to do in order to maintain a good relationship with God.  How do I pray? Why Should I pray? What shall I pray for?  The answers to those questions are found in  the Bible verses below.

How to Pray

Some people neal and pray; however, there is no-where in the Bible that says you must do this.  Most people bow their head and close their eyes while praying.

See Luke 11:1 for a good example on prayer

Why Should I Pray?

  • Luke 18:1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always pray, and not to faint
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing

What Should I Pray For?

Matthew 6:9-15 Ask for this manner therefore pray ye:  Our father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. They kingdom come.  Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptaion, but deliver us from evil:  For thin is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
